B Let's understand

Every 24 hours, our sky changes like magic! In the morning, the golden sun rises in the East, bringing bright daylight and pleasant warmth. During the day, we go to school, play outside, and birds chirp in the trees. In the evening, the sun sets in the West and the sky turns dusky orange and purple. At night, it becomes dark. The white moon and thousands of twinkling stars shine up in the night sky. Night is a peaceful time for sleeping and resting so our body can recharge for the next day.

Example 1: Why can we see things easily during the day without electric lights?
  1. The sun is a giant glowing star in the sky.
  2. It provides abundant, brilliant natural sunlight that lights up the whole Earth.
  3. At night, the sun is shining on the other side of Earth, so our sky becomes dark.
Example 2: Does the moon always look the same in the night sky?
  1. No! Some nights it looks like a round silver plate (Full Moon).
  2. Other nights it looks like a thin curved banana or crescent smile.
  3. The moon appears to change its shape through the month.
