When we have 10 ones bundled together, they make 1 Ten! Two-digit numbers are made of Tens and Ones. For example, the number 25 means 2 tens and 5 ones (20 + 5). The number 40 means 4 tens and 0 ones. When we count in tens, we say: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100! 100 is ten tens, and it is the very first 3-digit number. Understanding tens and ones makes reading big numbers easy and fun.
